May 16, 2010 - Katie Washington becomes the first African American to be valedictorian of the University of Notre Dame. Katie is daughter of Dr. William Washington, M. D. and the great-granddaughter of the late India Virginia Hubert, sister of the late Charles D. Hubert. Katie will attend Johns Hopkins University in the fall to pursue a M.D./PhD.
May 17, 2009 - Stephen Brandon Streeter becomes the latest Hubert family member to graduate from Morehouse. Stephen is the great-grandson of Art Brown Hubert. the late Art Brown Hubert was the brother of the late Charles D. Hubert. Stephen graduated Magna Cum Laude, and will be attending Stanford University in the fall to pursue a Master degree in mathematics.
